Jacob (Kobi) Sitt

Jacob (Kobi) Sitt  (B. 14.04.75) Executive producer, attorney at law.

Kobi Sitt was raised in the cities of Tel Aviv and Herzelia. Graduating from Rishonim high school Kobi went on to receive his L.L.B in Law from the Bar Ilan University's Faculty of Law and his EMBA from the prestigious Recanati school for Business at the university of Tel Aviv.

 In 2014 he was recognized by the bar as a  court-mediator.

Since 2015 he has served as the CEO of the Israel-Canada Chamber Of Commerce

  

Kobi began his journey in Israeli media began during his military service where he served in the education corp. receiving commendations during his service as head of the developmental team in charge of developing mobile information units. At the end of his military service Kobi was appointed editor of the Israeli computer magazine "Wiz" and filled that position until the year 2000. During this time Kobi studied law at the Bar Ilan university's faculty of law where he received his LLB. Kobi did his apprenticeship at the Dan Hai Law firm and passed the bar exam successfully and is a member of the bureau of justice since the year 2000 . Between the years 98-'00 Kobi was one of the hosts of the popular show "Zombit" a computer and technology current events show. In addition Kobi developed games for the company Imersia and established a unique course in computer gaming and interactive television in the Israeli open university.

In the year 2000 Kobi established Alice communications, a company that specializes in content and creative strategies for all forms of media

in the year 2001 Kobi was appointed editor of IBA's sports show.

in 2003 Kobi was appointed producer of the on location sets of the show "Shishi Bega'on", a big production talk show hosted by Yehoram Ga'on.

also in 2003 Kobi was executive producer of the movie "I shall act as their Mouth" - a documentary about the Eichmann trial.

 In 2004 Kobi was appointed program director of the show "A week of Israeli song" which was a weeklong televised mega event saluting the music of Israel broadcasted on all three major channels (1, 2, and 10)

 In 2004 Kobi was appointed producer and chief content editor of the show "Kol Hakavod" - a tribute show to the Israeli singer and icon Yehoram Ga'on in which Israel's leading musical artists participated in honoring him for receiving the national award for music and song. award in music. The show was broadcasted on Israel's channel 1

in 2005 Kobi was appointed producer and editor in chief of the event "Words for Ehud" - a large scale live show the Yarkon park venue  in which Israel's leading musical artists paid tribute to one of its most notable poets and lyricists Ehud Manor. The show was broadcasted on Israel's Channel 2.

Also in 2005 Kobi was appointed producer and content editor in chief of the special show "the Kamari in Israeli song" a tribute show to Israel's Kamari theater which received the national prize in theatrical arts. at this time Kobi received a scholarship from the Rich foundation to study business management at the prestigious Recanati school for business at the university of Tel Aviv In 2008 Kobi received his EMBA specializing in the entertainment business.

In 2006 Kobi was appointed producer and head content editor of the show "Lashir Itcha" - a tribute show to the many musical achievements if one of Israel's most notable singers Shoshana Damari. The show took place at Israel Park Hayarkon venue and Israel's leading musical artists participated. The show was broadcasted on Israel's channel 10.

In 2007 Kobi was appointed producer and chief content editor of the show " Lach Yerushalaim - 40 years since the reunification of Jerusalem" - at the Gan Saker Venue in Jerusalem in which Israel's leading artists participated and performed songs written for related to the city. The show was broadcasted on Israel's channel 10.

In 2007 Kobi was appointed producer and head content editor of the show "the Israeli Philharmonic in Israeli song" a tribute show to the Israeli philharmonics achievements in the past 70 years.

In 2008 Kobi was appointed to be development and strategy director of the broadcasts honoring Israel's 60th independence day which lasted 24 hours and took place from all over the country. The show was broadcasted on Israel's channel 10.

In 2008 Kobi was appointed  business development director in charge of strategic leveraging, media and B.O.T. issues in the prestigious law firm of Yehuda Raveh and company.

In the years 2009-20012 Kobi was appointed producer and head content editor of Israel's channel ones main broadcasting event on Israel's independence day which were filmed in different locations throughout the country and Israel's leading artists and public figures  participated  along with prime minister of Israel.

In the years 2010-2012 Kobi was appointed producer and chief editor of the television event "Hallelujah" - a Jewish song singing contest.

In the year 2011 Kobi was appointed producer and chief content editor of the "tonight shall be song with Einat Saruf" - a musical show hosted by prominent Israeli singer Einat Saruf. The show was broadcasted on Israel's channel 1.

in the years 2010-2012 Kobi was appointed producer and chief content editor of the show "dot IL" - a weekly show looking at Jewish current affairs from the globe hosted by Efrat Reiten in collaboration with the Jewish Agency and the Channel 10 news company.

In 2012 Kobi was appointed producer and chief content editor of the show "Photo Finish" - a show reviewing the 2012 Olympics hosted by comedian Eli Finish along with other prominent Israeli comedians. The show was broadcasted on channel one.

 Highlights

Sitt started his career in communications while serving in the Education Department of the IDF, where he was named the “Outstanding Soldier”. He served as head of a development team in the field of information and publicity. After completing his military service, he was appointed editor-in-chief of WIZ, a journal that deals with computers. From 1998 -2000, he was one of the moderators of the Education Channel’s renowned television program, Zombit. At the same time, Sitt developed computer games for Immeresia He also developed and founded a course, one of the first in Israel, for the study of computer games and Internet. The course was given at the Open University’s School of Communications, Chasifa.

In 2000, he began to be self-employed and founded Alice Communications, a production and content company. In 2001, he was appointed editor of A Look at Sport  on Israeli Television, the IBA.Later, he was appointed producer of the field studio, Friday Night with Gaon , moderated by Yehoram Gaon. In 2003, he was one of the creators of the documentary film, I WIll Speak for You- Gideon Hausner in the Eichmann Trial  about Gideon Hausner, the Attorney General in the 1960s and served as the prosecutor in the Eichmann Trial. The film won rave reviews. Three Chief Justices of the Supreme Court and legal advisors to the government, including Moshe Landau, Meir Shamgar, Aaron Barak and others took part in the film.

In 2004, he was appointed manager and producer of the program, Israeli Song Week, a joint production of channels 1,2 and 10.The program was the fruit of a joint effort with the Ministry of Culture and Sport, Art for the People, the Knesset, The Jewish Agency, the President of Israel and other bodies as well. This initiative led to spectacular shows which were open to the public, free of charge. Among the productions were a show in memory of Ehud Manor, Words - Ehud Manor  (HaYarkon Park, Tel Aviv, 2005), Singing With You - Shoshana Damari (HaYarkon Park, Tel Aviv, 2006), To You Jerusalem - Forty Years of United Jerusalem Gan Sacher, Jerusalem, 2007) and The Philharmonic Celebrates Seventy Years With Israeli Songs (HaYarkon Park, Tel Aviv, 2007).

In 2008, Sitt was appointed the Director of Development and Strategy of the programs Sixty Years of Israel,  Channel 10’s huge production of live coverage of Independence Day celebrations all over Israel throughout the entire day, including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv Haifa and the settlements on the Gaza border.

In 2011, Sitt was one of the creators of the television program, Dot IL which has been broadcast on Channel 10 in recent years. Between 2010 and 2018, since the program’s beginning, he has been the editor and producer, The program has been moderated by Efrat Raiton, Galit Giat, Anat Korol and Shir Meir .

"Happy New Year TV" 2020 – Sitt created, wrote and produced with “GESHER” organization TV  specials for Keshet 12 hosted by top journalist, Yoav Limor, programs with Jewish communities in London, NYC, Los-Angeles, Paris and Toronto.

From 2009 to 2013, Sitt was the producer and editor of the main Independence Day performance, filmed in various army bases for Channel 1, Israeli Television.

In 2014, he was one of the creators of the All Israeli Zionist Quiz. He served as the chief writer,  producer and editor of the program which takes place all over Israel and in the Diaspora. Since 2014  the finals were moderated by top Israeli Anchors and televised on Channel 10 and Keasht 12  at the Independence Day.

Since 2018, Sitt was appointed producer, artistic director and chief writer for the 75th-76th   Ein Gev Festival of Hebrew Songs at the Sea of Galilee . which was first broadcast on Army Radio and Channel 10/Reshet 13. Among the outstanding performances were a salute to the IDF troupes in Israel at seventy, The Troupes Return. Graduates of troupes throughout the years participated in the program which was moderated by Yehoram Gaon. Another outstanding program was A Long Road - Kobi Oshrat, which was moderated by Nathan Datner and the first Memorial Concert for the late Yigal Bashan.

In 2018, the Ministry of Defense appointed Sitt to produce and direct the ceremony of placing the flags on the graves of fallen soldiers, the opening ceremony of Memorial Day, which was held for the first time in the National Memorial Hall. Among the participants were the heads of the different branches of defense, including the Chief of Staff, the Chief of Police, the head of the Mossad, the head of General Security Services, the head of the prisons, representatives from Yad LeBanim and the families of fallen soldiers.

In 2018, he was appointed by the Ministry of Defense to produce and direct the official ceremony commemorating the soldiers who fell in the service of Israel. The ceremony was broadcast live to all the television and radio stations in Israel. The ceremony was held for the first time in the National Memorial Hall and was moderated by Gilad Adin. The ceremony was held in the present of the President of Israel, the Prime MInister, the CHief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Chairman of the Knesset, the Chief of Staff, the Police Chief, the chief rabbis, the heads of the different branches of security, representatives of national institutions, Yad LeBanim. Social Security and bereaved families.

In 2018, Sitt wrote, edited and produced Singing and Remembering for Channel 10in a live broadcast from Rambam Square in Ramat Gan. The program was moderated by Kobi Oshrat.

Since 2019, Sitt writes, edits and produce the prime time Keshet 12 National Holocaust memorial TV special “In all this, I am still here…” in which top Israeli artists and public figures take part reading, singing and preforming relevant texts and music.

Since 2019, Sitt writes, edits and produce the National Rabin youth Memorial for the Israeli Ministry Of Education, with the Rabin center in Tel-Aviv and KAN, Israel public broadcasting association.
